Mr. Ott is the Vice President, Human Resources of QLT (since November 2015). He joined QLT in February 2012 as Director, Human Resources and subsequently became Senior Director, Human Resources. Since 2013, Mr. Ott has overseen all aspects of human resources for QLT. Prior to joining QLT, he was Director, Human Resources at The Centre for Drug Research and Development from 2010 to 2012. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Ott was Human Resources Senior Manager at Amgen Inc. where he supported R&D employees based in the U.S. and Canada. Previously, Mr. Ott was Director, Human Resources & Administration at Abgenix Biopharma Inc.
Mr. Ott holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Management from Royal Roads University. He is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and a member of the BC Human Resources Management Association.
